Reunion Schedule

Scheduled Events

Pizza Party - Friday May 20th

Campers check in at 3:00 on Friday. Inn Town Campground has a great community kitchen and places to eat both inside and out. This first event of the reunion will be a “meet & greet” Pizza Party at the Main Building. We will have a “Take-Out” Pizza contest so families should submit their favorite take-out pizza recipes for consideration. We can put together salads and side dishes in the community kitchen. Tentative start time is 5:00 pm. (Keep in mind that “common spaces” at the Inn Town Campground are shared with other campers ).

S’mores & Stories - Friday May 20th

Friday night will be a time to relax, enjoy a sweat dessert and share some family stories. We will be bringing a few fire rings to set up in this Common BBQ area right next to our campsite and cooking S’mores. We invite you to submit your favorite recipes for consideration and we will bring the ingredients ( be creative….I don’t like S’mores that much so my recipe is dark chocolate, graham crackers and peanut butter, no fire required). For the car travelers, if you have them, be sure to bring a couple camping chairs.

Regarding the Stories, going to try something a little different this year. Each attending group will have their name put in a jar and when pulled be prepared to share three stories…OG, NG and UJ ( Old Generation, New Generation and Uncle John Story). This is a great opportunity for kids and grandkids to tell us something funny or heartfelt about their families that we may have never heard before.

Family Reunion Picnic - Saturday May 21st

Condon Park is a regional park just 10 minutes down the road. We have reserved the Covered BBQ area in the park and it has basketball courts, sand volleyball court and play structures right nearby. The park has a number of other amenities including a dog park, a skate park, disc golf, trails and ballparks. Still deciding on food and drink but we do have a one day liquor license so beer and wine is okay as long as we behave ourselves. This is weather contingent, but see this as a 3:00 or 4:00 event to give people time for a morning or early afternoon unscheduled event. The sun sets around 8 pm this time of year.

Family Movie Night - Saturday May 21st

The Inntown Campground has a great outdoor screen and sound system. Weather permitting they show movies most nights at dusk. Use their seats or bring your own. This is an amenity that is shared with other campers, but they said with a week’s notice we can make a special request, so let me know if you have a favorite to be considered.

Dinner Night Out - Sunday May 22nd

The headcount drops to 10 to 15 on Sunday, so a much simpler thing for a night on the town. Diego’s is one of our favorite restaurants a short drive away from the campsite. It has casual dining with a very artistic interior with a great chilean / mexican menu. Seating indoors and out and a private room in the back.

Other Things To Do

The schedule allows for a morning or early afternoon event of your choosing on Saturday. There are hikes, museums, shopping and restaurants nearby. Sunday the group gets smaller and a much less formal schedule so lots of options. Will send out a survey later this year to see where people want to spend their time and make sure folks have good directions on how to get there.
